The Work Starts Now: Barron Collier Lacrosse Prepares for 2026–2027

The first whistle of the season may still be a few months away, but preparations for the 2026–2027 Barron Collier Boys Lacrosse season are already underway.

This week, the Barron Collier Lacrosse Booster Club met to begin organizing the upcoming season. While official practices do not begin until January, much of the work that supports a successful season starts now, including fundraising, volunteer coordination, player and family communication, team events, game-day support, and preseason planning.

Welcome to Our New Booster Club Members

We are excited to welcome Natalie Klas, Kandis DeCarlo and Gloria Vargas to the Booster Club.

Natalie is officially joining us on the Booster Club after supporting the team last year from behind the camera lens. She is now the parent of one student in the sophomore class. Kandis joins us as the parent of a freshman, bringing a new family and fresh perspective to the program. Gloria, the parent of a sophomore, brings experience from her family’s first year with Barron Collier Lacrosse.

Involving families from different grade levels strengthens the Booster Club and ensures both new and returning families have a voice as we prepare for the season. If you are interested in joining the Booster Club, please email barroncollierlax@gmail.com.

Building the Season Before January

A successful lacrosse program takes more than what happens on the field. Throughout the year, families support team meals, equipment, fundraising, transportation, photography, senior recognition, special events, and other needs that enhance our players' experience.

The goal is simple: get organized early so our coaches and players can focus on lacrosse when the season begins.

Families will have plenty of opportunities to participate. Whether you can help with a major event, volunteer at a game, assist with fundraising, bring food, help set up, or simply lend a hand when needed, every contribution matters. We also want to recognize our Team Captains, Senior Ian Psota and Junior Cole Turner. They have embraced their leadership roles and have held numerous captains' practices to work on developing skills and cohesion. Great job to our captains the all players who have participated.

Come out and support the 2026–2027 Barron Collier Boys Lacrosse team during our Chick-fil-A Spirit Night. A percentage of sales during the event will go directly to the program. Bring the family, grab dinner, and help BC Lacrosse start the year strong.

2026–2027 Team Informational Presentation

Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Players, parents, and anyone interested in joining or supporting Barron Collier Boys Lacrosse are invited to attend our preseason informational presentation. The meeting will share important information about the upcoming season and give new and returning families a chance to learn more about the program, ask questions, and prepare for the season.

BCHS Boys Lacrosse Players & Parents Meet & Greet

Thursday, November 12, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Shea's Lansdowne Street, 6340 Naples Blvd, Units 1–3, Naples, FL 34109

Players and parents are invited to join us for a relaxed evening at Shea's Lansdowne Street. This is a great opportunity for new and returning families to meet one another, connect with the lacrosse community, and get to know the people they will be spending the season with.

We will have the patio and bar area reserved for our group, and each party will be responsible for its own bill. Please RSVP so we can provide the restaurant with an estimated headcount.

2026 BCHS Joey D Lacrosse Alumni Game (Tentative Date and Time)

Saturday, December 19, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Barron Collier High School Lacrosse Field located at 5600 Cougar Dr, Naples, FL 34109

The Joey D Lacrosse Alumni Game is a special tradition of the Barron Collier lacrosse program, bringing former players back together to reconnect with teammates, celebrate the program, and share their love of the game with the current lacrosse community.

The event also honors the memory of Barron Collier graduate and lacrosse alum Joey DiPascale, #23.

The December 19 date and event time are tentative, and we will share additional information as details are finalized.

Stay Connected

Communication will be especially important throughout the season.

We will use SportsYou to communicate directly with players and parents throughout the 2026–2027 season. All players and parents should join the “BC Lax 2027” team on SportsYou so they don't miss important announcements, practice information, schedule updates, last-minute changes, and other team communications.

The team website, barroncollierlax.org, will continue to serve as the program’s home base for schedules, events, Booster Club information, fundraising, and other program updates.
